The school has an active Right-On club that is the youth wing of the Human Rights Education Programme (HREP). The club has more than 30 members and the HREP carries out a number of activities to raise awareness about key issues concerning the society. Not only does it raise awareness but it also practically applies all the strategies it designs to eradicate and eliminate the problems at hand.

The Co-ordinator of the Right-On club in school is Mrs. Parveen Sultan and the club is governed by the Committee Members which are elected by the Right-On club members annually. These Committee Members then report to the National Student Council (NSC) that governs all the Right-On clubs in different schools.

The Right-On club in our school participates very enthusiastically in all the activities that are organized by the HREP. Apart from that, we hold independent activities and panel discussions on different topics e.g. diversity, gender issues, tolerance etc.
The activities carried out during the year are as follows:
1) A Beach Cleaning Activity
Club members among students had gone to participate in the Beach cleaning activity organized by the K.P.T. in which other schools also participated. As pollution is an environmental issue, the HREP took notice of it. As the first step, the Right-On club members went to the Clifton Beach to clean up the area.

2) De-Mining Campaign
The Club in affiliation with the British School Link programme carried out a de-mining campaign. Assembly presentations were made in school by the members and a poster competition was also held to raise awareness about the danger of landmines and the casualties caused by them. Mines are a great threat to humanity because even after conflicts have ended, these mines are not disabled or removed. They can stay armed for decades and if they are stepped on by unsuspecting civilians, they explode, brutally injuring or even killing them. The Right On Club took notice of this issue and started to work on spreading the word.

3) The Right-On members also sold Eid cards that were sent by HREP to raise funds for the children at the Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT). The children there are renal failure patients who need a dialysis once, twice or even thrice a week. Each Dialysis costs around Rs. 1000 and the SIUT gives free treatment (although it is low on funds). The HREP took the initiative to raise funds for those children who have no means of paying for their treatment.
4) The Right-On club also sent selected members for the Ilmathon walk organized by the T.C.F to raise funds for building more T.C.F schools. The walk was held on 4th of February and a number of students from different educational institutions also took part. The walk was followed by a Mela which was also held to raise funds for the same cause.

5) Selected students of the Right-On club had gone to attend the ground breaking celebrations of the Children’s Museum of Peace and Human Rights. It was a momentous occasion which the members really enjoyed. The chief guests were the Prince of Jordan, Prince Hassan Bin Tallaal and his family. The CMPHR will be a platform on which different seminars will be conducted to raise awareness about the main issues related to human rights. The museum will be the first of its kind in all of Asia.

6) The Right-On Annual Conference
Every year, there is a Right-On Annual conference in which all the Right-On Clubs have to give presentations on what they did during the year. Different topics are discussed and then the elections of the National Student Council are held. This year during the elections, one of our members, Lubna Kalhoro, was among the six members who got the most votes and then became an NSC member.
The Right-On club keeps conducting different seminars and workshops for Right-On members. To join HREP Right-On Club, e-mail them. Their e-mail address is info@hrep.com.pk and the website address is http://www.hrep.com.pk
